Open House and Dedication: October 22

From 3:30-4:30 the MCEG and The Garden House will be hosting an Open House and a dedication ceremony. The ceremony will begin at 4:00 pm.

Men's Home Workshop: October 23

On November 23, MCED will be hosting a series of workshops for a local men's home. Workshop topics will include canning, freezing, and drying.

MC Week of Sustainability: November 7-11

The Garden Crew (the MC sponsored student group for the Educational Garden) is hosting the first ever Week of Sustainability at Monmouth College! Come back later for a full schedule.

Sustainable Foods and Climate Change: Fixing a Broken System

22nd Annual Bioneers Conference at Knox College: November 4-6

This November, Knox is going to be a Beaming Bioneers site!  Beaming Bioneers (http://www.bioneers.org/conference/beaming /welcome) sites are located around the country, but this will be the only site in Illinois.  They will broadcast video keynotes from the 22nd annual Bioneers Conference that takes place in San Rafael, California.  They will also host local speakers focusing on regional, national, and international issues. From the website: "This premiere gathering brings together people passionate about making a difference and serves as an incubator for change. Beaming Bioneers broadcasts practical environmental solutions and innovative social strategies to restore Earth’s imperiled ecosystems and heal human communities.
