At Farm-
Cultivated Strawberries
Watered: Strawberries, vines, orchard
Notes:
Farm: The alfalfa has been cut and a gravel road had been laid to meet the land!!!
Okra: Our first planting we left the okra uncovered and it was eaten and broken by little critters, and also probably took a toll from the very heavy winds. This time around we waited until it was big and healthy before planting, and then covered with row-covers.
Turkscap Squash: We believed this squash to grow like zucchini (bush-like), but it appears to be a vining cucurbit. We are going to attempt to train the vines into the grass so they don’t strangle the brussel sprouts.
Compost: In the future it would be very unwise to pick up compost in the middle of the day after it has been sitting for approximately 3 weeks. It’s not a pleasant experience.
Fabio: *Do Not Put Too Much Oil In Fabio* It can really mess up the machine. As in, the engine will explode.
