Week 7 (June 30 – July 4)
Tasks: -uploaded photos on blog and Facebook -weeded herb garden/ cut back herbs -pulled up some dwarf Siberian Kale that was too big and rotting -weeded foot paths of leeks and shallots -weeded peas -potted spiderwort from garage to be deconstructed -Ready for harvest: Kale, chard, summer squash, zucchini, beets broccoli -Met with Professor Watson to discuss rainy day tasks (IT’S BEEN SO RAINY) -mowed at the garden -planted corn and sowed corn -Finished Mulching the Blueberries!!!! -Finished Mulching the Strawberries!!! -Harvested garlic at garden: 58 soft neck, 165 hard neck Notes: The all of the rainy days we’ve had have made our motivation to put in hard work decrease. But we can’t let it! Especially now that we’re coming into July when everything is beginning to produce and the days (we’re guessing) will be dryer. Week 6 (June 23- June 27)
